Over the past few years, I’ve been using Korean skin care products from cleanser to sleeping mask. Although I’ve been trying many different products from different brands, I always enjoy the entire experience. I feel like with the results, Korean skin care products are the most affordable. I had tried several western brands before, such as The Body Shop, Clinique, Kiehls, and Tarte. They were all more expensive than the ones I’ve been using, but no significant results, only few of them were doing a terrific job, I will share about it later ^^.

One of Korean brands that I really trust over the last year is COSRX. I’m sure you all have heard this brand a lot of times. It’s all over the internet, loved by beauty bloggers and youtubers, you can easily find its reviews on You Tube. In this post, I’m going to share my true and honest review of four COSRX products and why you should try them too, so stay tune! 

As you can see in the picture, my snail essence is going to have its last breath soon (without being so dramatic, LOL.) I’ve been using it for a year now, it sure goes a long wayyy, doesn’t it? I basically love every single aspects of it. After constantly using it, I feel my skin is getting better, it surely helps the next skin care products to work better at their best performance. Make sure to apply it after toner, you’ll feel amazing.


What I love:

+ The consistency is good, not too runny and not too thick

+ No fragrance or added coloring. Suits for sensitive skin

+ Quickly absorbed by skin without leaving any residue

+ Only need small amount for the entire face (I need two big pumps)

+ Slim and simple bottle design with a pump, travel-friendly

What I don’t love:

Nothing!

I love snail products! I’ve tried the facial wash, essence, eye cream, sheet mask, and cream. For you who still don’t know what can snail mucin (slime) be doing to your skin, you can find it here. Apparently, it has natural anti-aging power, who doesn’t want that? I use this together with my snail essence, they work wonderful together. As soon as you apply it, skin looks better and slightly brighter without leaving sticky feeling. The consistency is thicker than the essence, the color is white, not transparent like the essence.

What I love:

+ Quickly absorbed by skin without leaving any residue or sticky feeling

+ Only need three dollops for my entire face

+ No fragrance or added coloring

What I don’t love:

The packaging is not hygienic. I usually separate some amount in eye cream jar to be used everyday

I bought this because I had seen so many great reviews on You Tube, I was so curious back then. I honestly don’t know whether lotion is needed in our skin care routine, so I thought I might try it out. At first, I apply it after toner, essence, serum, and before cream and sleeping mask. I feel like it’s a little bit too much for my skin, although I wake up with great skin, I don’t think it’s highly necessary. The steps are surely not suitable for morning routine, it would be too sticky in tropical climate.

What I love:

+ It smells AMAZING (like really pleasant)

+ Suitable for dry skin as it says ultra-moisturizing

+ Travel friendly packaging

What I don’t love:

The product is great actually, I just can’t use it often in tropical place like here in Bali

After I finished my Innisfree Red Wine Sleeping Mask, I decided to try COSRX one. I tried my sister’s Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Mask but I didn’t really like it because it was soo thick and a bit sticky, so I bought the honey one. As you can see in the picture, the texture is quite different from normal sleeping masks, it’s more like gel. It’s not heavy or thick at all, as soon as you apply it, you will feel refreshed because it has slight cooling effect. I use it as the end of my night routine, It certainly helps to calm my redness and harsh.

What I love:

+ The texture is light and easily spread

+ It has refreshing cooling effect

+ Works great for calming redness

What I don’t love:

- The packaging is not hygienic

- It has glue-like smell, no honey at all

- Not quickly absorbed by skin

Other than these, I have tried some other COSRX products but I already threw the bottles. My experience of COSRX so far has been great! I'm excited to try more of their skin care.
